The Friends of the Library are a group of volunteers who raise funds for special library materials and projects. The Friends sponsor many activities. Some of the Friends' activities are: sponsoring used book sales, hosting local history tours, supporting author visits, and holding special events.

If you would like to join the Friends of the Harnett County Public Library, you can pick up a membership application at the library. The dues are $5.00 per year for an individual, $10 for families, $25 for Bronze Patrons, $50 a year for Silver Patrons, and $100 a year for Gold Patrons. The meetings are located at the Harnett County Public Library in Lillington, NC.
